Malta Goya…


I was going to leave this post with just a single word as warning but I needed to be fair to the Malta. This is an extremely unique flavor and I’d do it an injustice by just describing it as soy sauce mixed with water and bread but that was all I could taste. I drank half the bottle in multiple sips followed by contorted facial gestures. I tried and tried but just couldn’t get into the flavors locked in that bottle.

To be fair, there are a many elements to other cultures diets that American’s just can’t pallet, whether it’s the dried fish skins in China, sardines in Italy or Malta in Mexico. As a foodie you have to give it a try, you’ll never know what secrets are hiding out there.
